A woman in her 20s, who had gone to a nearby medical store, was attacked while her mobile was robbed by two bike-borne men. The incident occurred at Milind Nagar in Ghatkopar on Monday night.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Pooja Dhadke was returning home from the medical store when she was attacked. The rider and the pillion both were wearing helmets. When Pooja reached near the Shankar temple at Milind Nagar, at around 10 pm, the bikers slowed down. The pillion then is said to have hit her with some object, after which he snatched away her mobile.
While the robbers sped away from the crime spot following the incident, Pooja sustained injuries on her right hand. She then approached the cops to file a complaint. “The incident occurred at a secluded place and we suspect that the accused may be locals who knew the lanes,” a police officer from Ghatkopar police station was quoted by Hindustan Times as saying.
Cops will now take a look at close circuit television cameras (CCTV) of the area for hints, and are also questioning locals for more information on the case. A case of assault and robbery has been registered against two unidentified people.
