Maharashtra were declared winners at the recently concluded Mumbai Mayor Cup Indoor National Archery Championship at Shahji Raje Bhosle Krida Sankul, Andheri

Maharashtra win indoor archery

The state archers won 31 gold, 34 silver and 36 bronze medals for a total of 399 points. Jharkhand finished second with 6 gold and 2 bronze adding up to 32 points, while Uttar Pradesh managed to finish third with two gold and three silver medals.


Archers who were given a cash award of R5000 were: Open men’s Indian Round: Dilip Kumar; Open women’s Indian Round: Ekta Shirke; Open men’s recurve: Nitin Gondal; Open women’s recurve: Priya Gaikwad; Open men’s compound: Kamlesh Mahto (Jharkhand); Open women’s compound: Megha Agarwal; Open men’s barebow: Milind Panchal; Open women’s barebow: Nikita Punekar.u00a0
