Anand Nagar link Road (Dahisar)
What the reader said
Bad roads at Anand Nagar in Dahisar East, next to the subway crossing since 2005. Bad management.
@Iyertwits
What we saw
The pavers have been dislodged from the road, creating a seemingly endless patch of unevenness that stretches up to 100 metres. This road connects Dahisar (East) on one end to the Western Express Highway on the other.
We are tired of this condition. The entire area has road made of paver blocks however this road is a crucial one as it connecting Dahisar east to west. It witnesses heavy traffic during peak hours due to the unevenness of the road.

What the reader said
Start with Malad @oyemangya
What we saw
SV Road in Malad is an arterial road in the western suburbs, connecting Dahisar with Borivli and Bandra. Many commuters and motorists travelling during the morning and evening peak hours use this road on a daily basis. The unevenness caused by dislodged paver blocks on this road causes inconvenience to commuters and motorists and damage to vehicles, besides leading to waste of time and fuel.
Our readers pointed out many more stretches where dislodged and broken paver blocks have left scarred roads in their wake. Read MiD DAY tomorrow for our take on other distressing paved roads in the city
I have submitted written complaints nine times to the concerned authorities, but no action has been taken. I stay in Kandivli but have to travel to Malad where I own a shop. I have seen at least 15-20 commuters falling from their two-wheelers or autos due to the uneven condition of the road. The road has been like this for almost 10 months.

If Uddhav Thackeray had taken a little pain to improve the lives of Mumbaikars in spite of them repeatedly voting for his party in the BMC elections, Mumbai would have been a better place to live in, and he would have been the automatic choice to become CM of Maharashtra, but just our bad luck. Paver blocks is just one of the many issues.

Paver blocks are not concreted; it has to be laid above the sand. Whoever gave the idea to spoil our Mumbai roads should be asked to pay damages. Paver blocks are to be put where you feel that that particular part needs to be dug up at different intervals.
- Roy Ninan
Paver blocks are not fit for India where it rains heavily, they are used in the Middle East because it doesn’t rain there. The one who gave the suggestion of using paver blocks in India or in Mumbai should be taken to task. These paver blocks have made the lives of Mumbaikars miserable.

Juhu-Versova Link Road
What the reader said
Bad blocks at the crossing of Versova and JVPD, they are at their worst from all eight sides of the road, including the exit of the Link Road coming from Versova and the crossing itself. Also, it has sunk at many places, especially when you approach the crossing from Gulmohar Road.

What we saw
Juhu-Versova Link Road is an important road that connects Versova, Four Bungalows, Seven Bungalows with Juhu JVPD. Commuters and motorists going towards Juhu, Vile Parle and the Western Express Highway from Versova take this road during peak hours. The scarred stretch on this road is a bane for commuters. Vehicles get caught in traffic jams because of the unevenness.u00a0

Chembur Naka to Chembur police station and even ahead till RCF police station. Worst thing Mumbai has is paver blocks.
@Raj_Sakpal
What we saw
Dislodged paver blocks have left huge potholes in their wake. The road is scarred and bumpy over a long 300-metre stretch. This is an important road that connects Chembur station to Chembur naka, used by heavy vehicles and buses.
We are very tired of the roads. It’s not just the rains that spoil the roads — all through the year the roads are in a bad shape because of the shoddy repair job done with paver blocks.

What the reader said
Please visit the road between Suman Nagar to Priyadarshini building towards Sion. Worst road. @Raj_Sakpal
What we saw
This is an important stretch for motorists moving into the city from Navi Mumbai and Thane. This bumpy road causes huge traffic snarls in the area on a regular basis. Problems are compounded by the fact that the stretch is used by many heavy vehicles, causing more damage to the road and creating further trouble for motorists manoeuvreing smaller vehicles during peak hours.
The problem starts when paver blocks are used on this kind of road. They should be completely banned as they are of no use.
