The protesters belong to a group call Shri Rajasthani Karni Sena, who has been against her show ever since it began.

Their grouse with the show is the portrayal of the character ofJodha.

In the past, they had even threatened to stop the release of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara.

“One of them even tried to throw a water bottle at her. However, before the situation could go out of control, security guards rushed in and escorted them out of the venue. Surprisingly, Ekta was not too upset about it and was heard saying that it was really a thrilling experience for her,” added the onlooker.

Ekta confirmed the story and the official spokesperson of the festival said, “The festival believes in freedom of expression and supports respectful and responsible debate between all participants and guests. We thank the Jaipur police force for their swift action today in maintaining safety at all times, and allowing the event to resume in under a minute.”
