The 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is scheduled to start on April 5, 2017 is in no danger, according to the IPL governing council chairman Rajiv Shukla who was at Wankhede Stadium to watch the Day Three proceedings in the ongoing Test between India and England on Saturday.

"We have already started planning according to our schedule. The franchise workshop will be organised as early as possible," Shukla told mid-day.

When asked whether the Lodha Committee orders will affect the domestic league, Shukla said: "I don't think the Lodha panel will have any effect on the upcoming season. We are going to organise the IPL governing council meeting in the second week of January," he added. Shukla also said that franchises have no concerns over IPL 2017.
