Actor Tanishaa Mukerji recently visited London with her mom, Tanuja.

London dreams

The two had a gala time soaking into the sights and sounds of the city. Tanisha tells CS about her London sojourn:

All under one roof
I love the theatre scene of London the most. The weekend markets and the history seeped into every inch of the city makes it a very romantic place. The fact that there are people from every corner of the world in one city with something for everyone makes London different from Mumbai. But the biggest difference between London and Mumbai is how easy it is to get around the city.

Mommy time
This time in London, I was shooting for two weeks and then my mom joined me for a holiday. It was great. We watched plays, went to the Chelsea flower show that was celebrating its 100th year, as my mom and I are very much into gardening and love seeing all the new hybrids and innovations in flowers. Apart from this, we ate out a lot as we are real foodies. The borough market is a food market on weekends, and we would go and totally hog down there. It was overall a very culturally satisfying experience.

City pick
I love London, LA and Sydney. Sydney because I have lived in Australia and have explored the city a lot. I personally feel, to really enjoy a place, you need to live there for a bit. Only then do you get the true essence of it. Both developed cities as well as those closer to nature have their own charm. But it’s easier to spend more time in a developed city.u00a0
