For their seventh wedding anniversary last year, Maanayata had sprung a surprise on Sanjay Dutt by making an unannounced visit at Pune's Yerwada jail through special permission. This year, however, pulling things off may not be so easy for her. For, dates of their anniversary (February 11) and his release from prison (February 25) are just a fortnight apart.

"In all likelihood, the couple won't get to spend their special day together this time since their anniversary and his release date are only 14 days apart," says a source close to the Dutts.

After a court marriage on February 8, 2008, the actor married Maanayata as per Hindu rituals three days later. In 2014, Dutt, who is in jail after being convicted for illegal possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, was out on parole during his anniversary. The year before, Maanayata, along with their twins Iqra and Shahraan, had flown down to Rajasthan where he was shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's 'pk', days before he was sent to jail to serve the remainder of his five-year jail sentence.

"This year, Maanayata has asked for permission from the jail authorities to visit Dutt. She is still waiting for them to revert, but securing their approval looks a bit difficult this time," adds the source.
