Mumbai'S cricket fraternity lost yet another stalwart when former cricket secretary of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA), Madhav Paralkar passed away at his Grant Road residence on Friday after a prolonged illness.
He was 86. His last rites were conducted at the Chandanwadi crematorium on the same day. He was secretary of the school body for 15 years. Paralkar is survived by three sons — Sudhir, Shree and Vishwas and their families.
“A thorough gentleman, Paralkar always ensured that things run smoothly at the MSSA. He ensured that the Giles and Harris Shield tournaments were conducted well. A lot of big names from Mumbai played school cricket during his tenure,” said current MSSA cricket secretary HS Bhor.u00a0
