England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has managed to move the wheels of Indian bureaucracy in record time thanks to Twitter. Having taken recourse to social media to urge India's external affairs ministry to expedite his visa, which was stuck for the last 10 days ago, the cricketer got a positive response in less than a day after tweeting his woes
New Delhi: Less than 24 hours after tweeting about his Indian visa woes, former England batsman Kevin Pietersen has received his visa from the union sports ministry paving his way for upcoming India visit.

"Trying to travel to India urgently & the Indian Embassy has had my passport for 10days for a 24hr service. Help @MEAIndia, @IndianDiplomacy?," Pietersen tweeted.
Pietersen, an icon player of Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Daredevils, is a frequent visitor to India and it is not clear why it is taking such a long time to process his visa application.
Pietersen, who has been retained by the Daredevils, will be available for the entire season of the sixth edition of the cash-rich IPL after being the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) formally announced that KP would no longer be selected to play for England.
The 33-year-old has scored 8181 runs in 104 Tests with 23 hundreds and 4440 runs in 136 ODIs with nine tons to his credit. KP is likely to come to India by the end of this month as the Daredevils will be officially unveiling their new jersey for the 2014 season.
Coach Gary Kirsten is also expected to attend the promotional event. Daredevils had a horrible last season and KP was unavailable due to a knee surgery.
