Defender Sandeep Singh drag-flicked Mumbai into the lead in the first minute of the match as the visitors won a penalty corner.
This was Sandeep’s 10th goal of the tournament. However, that turned out to be the only happy moment of the match for Mumbai.

Thereafter, a fine solo effort from Manpreet Singh in the 49th minute clinched the tie for the hosts.
