"The order states that the re-instatement will take place immediately since the dismissal order was not right," Sharma said.

The tribunal has also ordered the payment of all pending wages during the period of dismissal, he said.

Sharma, who has been credited with killing over 100 suspected gangsters, was dismissed from the Mumbai police force last year due to alleged links with organised crime syndicates.
