Maharashtra opening batsman Vijay Zol smashed an unbeaten 451 against Assam in a Under-19 Cooch Behar match in Nashik yesterday.
The 17-year-old wonder kid, who hails from Jalna district in Marathwada region has amassed the mammoth score over two days.
"I was batting on 264 yesterday and felt that I could reach 400 if I can score a few runs quickly. It's been a memorable experience," the 17-year-old boy told PTI over phone from Nashik.
Zol is a school drop-out as he quit studies after ninth standard. "When I was in ninth standard, I told my dad that I want to quit studies and concentrate fully on cricket and he agreed," Zol said.
