New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta has sung a devotional track for Prakash Jha's forthcoming Hindi film 'Jai Gangaajal'. The filmmaker said her "sonorous" voice has added more depth to the track.

The song sung by Amruta, a classical singer, is called "Sab dhan maati".

"It is a devotional track that comes at a crucial point in the narrative of the film. Amruta has sung it beautifully in her lovely and sonorous voice, and the track worked out really well," Jha told IANS over phone from Indore, where he's currently promoting the film.

"Sab dhan maati" is penned by Manoj Muntashir, and it was recorded last month.

A 'U/A' certificated film, "Jai Gangaajal" is the sequel to Jha's popular 2003 film "Gangaajal".

Releasing on March 4, it features National Award winning actress Priyanka Chopra as the protagonist. She has donned the khaki uniform for the film, which aims to examine the society-police relationship.
