Maharashtra Governor gives Cleanliness Pledge to officials

Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao today gave a cleanliness pledge (Swachhata Shapath) to the officers and staff of Mantralaya to mark the launch of the Swachh Bharat Mission here on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri

Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao today gave a cleanliness pledge (Swachhata Shapath) to the officers and staff of Mantralaya to mark the launch of the Swachh Bharat Mission here on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.


The Governor read out the Swachhata Shapath to the state government officials in Marathi, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.


Prior to the reading of oath, the Governor garlanded the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.


Advisor to the Governor, former Union Home Secretary Anil Baijal, Chief Secretary Swadheen Kshatriya and senior officers and staff of Mantralaya were present on the occasion.
