Mahie Gill had to undergo an image makeover to reprise Bindu's iconic role in the 'Zanjeer' remake
After earning positive reviews for her performance in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, Mahie Gill will be next seen in the upcoming remake of Zanjeer. She’ll be reprising the Mona Darling avatar that yesteryear actress Bindu played in the original film back in 1973. Interestingly enough, Mahie underwent a makeover to fit the role.u00a0

Fashion designer Pria Kataaria Puri came to her aid by not only creating the costumes but even styling the actress for the role.
The idea was to give Mahie a very bold look. “She is truly a sensuous and glamourous diva. Not only her costumes, I also coaxed her to change her hair colour to give her a bold look. I also gave attention to minute details about her from her style of walking to her hand movements. I took this up as a personal challenge,” says Pria.
And that’s not all! The designer also convinced the Punjabi kudi to don a two-piece for the film.
“Mahie is one of those actresses who had not been experimental with her looks so far. Everybody is so used to seeing her in traditional wear, so to convince her to wear a bikini was a tough job,” adds Pria. u00a0
