The makers of the upcoming film 'Milan Talkies' have had some problems convincing their lead actors to stay put with the project. Sources say to tide over their problems, the makers have now decided to rope in newcomers to cast in the film.
Initially Imran Khan was said to star in the film but was replaced soon after by Shahid Kapoor, which apparently prompted Priyanka Chopra to stage a walk-out. Sasha too left soon after. Shraddha Kapoor was also approached but she too bid farewell to the movie. Then there was buzz about Varun Dhawan being considered for the film.
Says a source, “Tired of all this, the makers are now considering casting fresh faces or an actor who is comfortable working opposite a new actress.” Insiders say model-turned-actress Pooja Hegde has been approached to step into the female lead’s shoes. “But nothing has been finalised,” adds the source. While producer Ekta Kapoor remained unavailable for comment, the CEO of the production house, Tanuj Garg denied the buzz.
