Hours after attending the Justin Bieber concert with their teenage son, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan were granted divorce by the Bandra Family Court yesterday. The celebrity couple had decided to end their 18-year marriage by mutual consent last November.

Malaika has got physical custody of their 14-year-old son, Arhaan, while Arbaaz will have access whenever he wants. A source close to the couple said the Munni Badnaam Hui actress-dancer has not asked for any alimony or property.

Dressed in white, they appeared in court for the final hearing scheduled at 11.30 am. They met principal marriage counsellor VS Athavale for five minutes and were then granted divorce by the Family Court judge. Their lawyers, Kranti Sathe and Amurta Sathe Pathak told mid-day, "The court has granted divorce to Arbaaz and Malaika, which was filed on mutual consent terms."

Since filing for divorce on November 8, the couple attended their first counseling session three days later. They were then given a mandatory six-month waiting period to return to court with a decision on ending their marriage.

Despite personal differences, the couple has remained cordial and taken part in each other's family events.
