In a surprise check, Kurla Railway Protection Force personnel arrested a 25-year-old man Amit Chawla from Ulhasnagar from nearby Thane district who was allegedly carrying CDs of blue films.
The RPF personnel lead by ASI S Jadhav on suspicion asked the passenger as to what he was carrying in the heavy bags. Not getting satisfactory replies, the RPF personnel questioned him further and checked his bags.

They found 475 pirated CDs of which 170 were found to be CDs of blue films and later took into custody Chawla. He was carrying the CDs for distribution in Kurla and possessed a ticket from Ulhasnagar to Kurla.
The CDs were valued to be worth Rs 31,350.
RPF officials believe that a gang may be involved in dealing with blue film and pirated CDs for a long time and had a major distribution networks in Kurla.
Chawla was later handed over to the Government Railway Police who charged him for Copyright Act violations.
