10-man Pune played well, says Bhutia

Former India captain Baichung Bhutia was thrilled with Pune FC's performance against English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers at Balewadi here yesterday.

Pune lost the game 0-3 but the former East Bengal and Mohun Bagan striker was impressed with the grit Pune displayed despite going a man down. Anas Adathodika was shown red for a second bookable offence early in the first half and Pune had their backs to the wall throughout the game but kept restricted the damage nevertheless.

Bhutia told MiD DAY from Delhi: "I couldn't watch the game, but kept track of it. I heard the result and I'm very happy for Pune FC. They played well with 10 men. Had they played the the whole game with 11 men they would have performed even better," said the 34-year-old.
