Manchester United goalie David de Gea’s girlfriend Edurne Garcia’s opinion about Manchester has fuelled rumours of his move to Real Madrid
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea will not be too happy with his girlfriend Edurne Garcia’s comment about his adopted city ‘not being nice’. The comment, made on a TV show, has added fuel to rumours that De Gea, whose contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of next season, might agree to a transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The pop singer agreed with host Pablo Motos on the Spanish entertainment show El Hormiguero that Manchester is ‘uglier than the back of a fridge,’ as quoted by Daily Mail.
“It’s not very nice, that’s for sure. You have to hunt out specific places -- the nice places. But even then Spain is nicer. The reason I like it is because David’s there. With him being there, everything looks wonderful,” De Gea’s girlfriend of five years said.
Even though De Gea cleared the air that there was no rift between United manager Louis van Gaal and him, it remains to be seen whether he listens to his lady love and moves to ‘nicer’ Madrid or prefers to stay at Manchester.
