Manisha Koirala, a survivor of ovarian cancer, took part in CanSupport's Walk for Life 2015 in Mumbai on Sunday to create awareness about the disease.
The purpose of the walk is to alert everyone to the rising incidence of cancer, to show solidarity with those affected by the disease, and to raise funds for CanSupport’s free of charge and much needed palliative and supportive care services for people battling it.
"Ready for walk for life!! Cansupport!" Manisha tweeted Sunday.
She even met young survivors and shared photographs on the microblogging site.
"Thank you cansupport for giving me an opportunity to share a smile with young special children," she posted.
Actress Aditi Rao Hydari also participated in the endeavour and grabbed the opportunity to pose with Manisha.
"Fan girl moment with the stunningly radiant @mkoirala in Delhi for the @casupport #walkforlifeindia," Aditi captioned a photograph of the duo.
