A married police constable allegedly killed his girlfriend before committing suicide on Wednesday in Mumbai.
The constable attached to the Matunga police station, Dashrath Ankush Rane, killed himself by shooting in the head with his service revolver.
Tardeo police received a phone call at 6:00 am on Wednesday about the constable's death.
A woman named Sharvari Parvez Khan was also found dead at her residence, which is opposite Rane’s.
Rane, a bodyguard of TADA court magistrate’s son, allegedly killed his girlfriend and himself, after spending the night with her, due to the ongoing disputes he had with his wife.
An FIR has been registered against the dead constable.
