Rendered on canvas by Kerala-based artist Sasi Edavarad, these vibrant murals were created using natural pigments and vegetable colours. These depict deities like Ganesha, Vishnu and Parvati as well as devotees such as Prahlada and mythological characters including Arjuna.

Kerala temple murals are characterised by a depiction of nature in the backdrop and are usually based on shlokas (verses in praise of the deity) or depict a certain incident.

Hence, you will be able to gaze at unique images of Ganesha holding a bow and arrow (see image) or him playing the flute as well as images of Saraswati amidst a bevy of lotuses.

Traditionally, these murals adorned temples and palaces and hence considered as auspicious. Art lovers can witness the making of these artworks as Edavarad will be painting live at the venue.
