Avi Sule, a well known Mumbai Cricket Association official, passed away in Thane yesterday. He was in his early sixties and suffered a massive heart attack.
Sule was Honorary Secretary of the Dr H D Kanga Cricket League during its golden jubilee in 1997.
While on duty as local manager for the South African team in the one-off ODI at the Wankhede Stadium in 1996, Sule was reportedly manhandled by a livid, losing captain Hansie Cronje.
