The shark whisperer – known only as Tom – has got a deep-sea predator eating out of the palm of his hand after hypnotising it by gently rubbing the end of its nose, reported.

While Caribbean reef sharks are not known as a ‘man-eating’ species they can be aggressive – but not in this marine mind-bender’s hands, it seems.

By gently tickling the shark’s nose, he was able to induce a state of “tonic immobility” – temporary paralysis, which lasts for about 15 minutes and causes no harm to the mammals.
