Meghalaya Board of School Education was established in 1974, but after 1996, when the University (NEHU) discontinued the Pre-University Course, it was taken over by the Board. And, all the financial matters, for SSLC and HSSLC were taken care by the Board itself.
Meghalaya Board of School Education was set up in 1973 under Meghalaya Board of School Education Act. This board was set up to control, manage and to build up education in the state. MBOSE is stated to conduct 12th board exam along with 10th board exam.
Meghalaya Board of School Education has conducted the Meghalaya Board Exam 2014 in the month of March 2014. The HSSLC board exam 2014 started on 4th March 2014 and continued till 21st March 2014 of all the steams i.e. Science, Commerce & Arts and MBOSE SSLC board exam 2014 started on 5th March with English as the first paper and ended on 18th March 2014 with Mathematics.
