Ekta Kapoor's Dhhai Kilo Prem is being touted as small screen's Dum Laga Ke Haisha, except that both, the hero and heroine are overweight in this one. Starring Meherzan Mazda (of Nisha Aur Uske Cousins) and Anjali Anand, last seen in web series Untag, the show will chronicle a love story that goes beyond physical attributes.

While Anjali, reportedly at 108 kg, fit the bill, Meherzan was asked to gain around 14 kg to look the part.

"I had the best time of my life prepping for this role since I got to eat everything that I have ever wanted. I am a big foodie and ate to my heart's content," says the actor, who was also seen in Shraddha Kapoor's debut film, Luv Ka The End (2011).

Meherzan, however, admits that he did feel uncomfortable when he started gaining weight. What kept him motivated was the fact that few have attempted this drastic a transformation for television.

"I am fully aware of the health risks associated with obesity and took almost 10 days to say yes to the role. I used to be 112 kg as a school kid and I know how difficult it was to lose all those extra pounds. But I am giving my hundred per cent to the character to make this journey memorable," he adds.
