It was Rahul who started attacking and had a 2-1 lead. But Ahaan played some brilliant deceptive shots to make it 2-2. Later, Ahaan hit some brilliant forehand shots to make it 3-3. Thereafter, Ahaan didn't look back and dominated the game.
Ahaan was thrilled to beat his friend for the sixth time. "Rahul is my best friend. We train under the same coach — Anjan Viplav (former national player). I am thrilled to beat him for the sixth time now," he said.
Rahul was disappointed. "What hurt me more was that despite having a 3-2 lead, I couldn't capitalise on it. I started attacking and committed too many unforced errors," he said.
