MHADA reduces rates of its flats, extends date for registration and application

There is good news for people who have applied for the 2014 lottery of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) as they will have to shell out less money for the property.


The decision to decrease the rates of the houses was taken after a meeting by the MHADA authorities.


"MHADA has always been known for affordable housing and the issue about decreasing the rates of house and making them more affordable was discussed in the recent authority meeting. We have decreased the rates of houses by removed g few of the taxes that were earlier applicable on MHADA homes." a MHADA official said.


This year MHADA is conducting a lottery of a total of 2641 houses of which 814 are of Mumbai Board and 1716 houses of Konkan board along with another 111 houses of the Konkan board.

MHADA has also extended the online registration date and form (application date) submission date. Now, applicant can do online registration till June 7, 2014 (6 pm) and the submission date (application date) has been extended till June 9, 2014.
