Mumbai: Singer Mika Singh, who is seen as a coach on 'The Voice India', was joined by his brother and Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi on the Independence Day special episode of the singing reality show.

'I'm elated that Daler 'paaji' is part of the special Independence Day episode of the show. For me, it’s a very special episode because whatever I'm today is because of my brother. It’s a great feeling to share the screen space with 'paaji'. I'm sure the contestants will get a lot to learn from him,' Mika said in a statement.
Daler, known for songs like 'Bolo ta ra ra ra' and 'Tunak tunak tun', is also excited about coming on the show. ''The Voice India' is one of my favourite shows on television. It was a very humbling experience to be a special guest on such a big platform for singers who were all very good.
I also got to be alongside the very talented Mika Singh - a great entertainer. I wish all the young singers the very best during the process,' Daler said in a statement. On the Independence Day episode, which will be aired on August 15 on &TV, the channel will unveil a video featuring the common man across the country to sing under the campaign #MyCountryMyVoiceMyAnthem.
The show also features Sunidhi Chauhan, Himesh Reshammiya and Shaan as coaches, and they join in to create a musically entertaining episode.
