The wait is only getting longer for Glenn Maxwell ufffd Pepsi Indian Premier League's (IPL) newest million-dollar star

Million-dollar Aussie Glenn Maxwell still on Mumbai Indians bench

The Australian cricketer, whose base price was $200,000, was finally snapped for a whopping $1 million by the Mumbai Indians in the last auction.


However, the off-spinning all-rounder is yet to get a look in despite MI having played three games. Since there was an intense bidding from MI to get Maxwell, it is hard to imagine that the Aussie is still on the bench. Maxwell was the 12th man yesterday.


Malinga’s ‘light’ wig
The colourful bushy wig which resembles the hairstyle of Mumbai Indians’ popular bowler Lasith Malinga has a new addition this season.


One can hear the sellers outside the Wankhede Stadium vehemently screaming ‘Lightwala Malinga’ (wig). The wig, which sells like a hot cake, can be bought for Rs 300 but one with good bargaining power, can own it at Rs 200 also.

Rayudu misses bus
Ambati Rayudu, one of the consistent performers for Mumbai Indians, apparently missed the team bus yesterday.

Rayudu was seen outside the team hotel waiting for a car to take him to the Wankhede Stadium.u00a0
