Bengaluru: A 15-year-old girl was gang-raped by three youths, including an acquaintance of her, at Ragigudda in Bengaluru, police said on Thursday.
Upon a complaint from the girl, the trio, in the age group of 19 to 23, was arrested within hours of the incident on Wednesday, Additional Commissioner of Police C H Pratap Reddy said.
The incident came to light after the victim lodged a complaint in JP Nagar police station alleging she was taken away by an acquainted person, with two of his associates, to an under construction building, and sexually abused and gang-raped, he said.
The incident took place between 6.30-8 pm yesterday, he added. Reddy said the police is also probing the possibility of love angle as one of the culprits was acquainted to her. The accused have been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added.
