The semi-decomposed body of a woman has been recovered from a room at Parksite in Vikhroli. According to the police, the deceased is 30-year-old Vibha alias Archana Thakur, who was reportedly missing from her residence since April 2. Her body was found on Saturday.

“Thakur, who was missing for the last two months, was staying with her parents and three kids at Parksite, as she was fed up of her druggist husband. We have also recovered a mobile phone, which might help us nab the accused,” said an officer from Parksite police station.

The officer added, “The room where the body was found was initially given to a man from Bihar but has been handed over to other people over time and we are trying to find the last tenant of the room.” The police suspect one Rohit Yadav, who has been renting rooms to people, in the case. He has been absconding for the last two months and a police team has been sent to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh.

“The post-mortem report on Sunday revealed that the deceased was killed with a blunt object. There is no report of an affair between Yadav and the deceased. We are currently investigating the case,” said an officer from Parksite police station.
