Rashmi's father and ex-corporator Kamalaksha Kunder, who was present, said that he withdrew his daughter from one of the earlier Kannada TV programme, after the organizers sought to make corrections in marks later to favour a candidate of their choice. He expressed his gratefulness to the school governing council and teachers, who have assured wholehearted support to see that Rashmi's education does not suffer because of her protracted absence. Rashmi's choreographers Eshwar Kodikal and Navin Shetty of Expression Dance Institute and mother Bharati were present.
