MLWB pipped fancied Bombay Gymkhana 'B' in a thrilling encounter of the SCS Motiram Memorial Cup for men, at the Cricket Club of India yesterday.
MLWB rallied after the early setback of dropping the opening doubles match in the inter-club badminton tournament to fashion a 2-1 win in an absorbing contest.

Jatin Agarwal and Naval Kumar gave Bombay Gymkhana 'B' a dream start until Amol Hindalekar dominated Kumar in the singles tie to force the decider which went down to the wire.
In the decider, MLWB's Owais Shaikh and Somnath Sonawane won the first game 21-19 against Ashra and Master before losing 15-21. They then won the last game 21-19.
