The pitch at Mohali, the venue for the third Test against Australia starting on March 14, will be a 'competitive' one, unlike Chennai and Hyderabad, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA)have assured
The 22-yard here will assist both batsmen and bowlers, said the organisers. “The wicket at the PCA ground here will not be of the same character (as it was in Chennai and Hyderabad). The pitch here will be good for both the sides. It will not bring out a one-sided result as has happened in the first two matches,” said PCA Secretary MP Pandove.u00a0

Elaborating on the nature of the wicket, Pandove said: “It will suit both batsmen and bowlers. The ball will come on to the bat nicely and there will be enough assistance for pacers. The spinners will come into play later on. We would like to have real good cricket here.”
PCA president, IS Bindra also assured that the curators have prepared a pitch that will suit both batsmen as well as bowlers.
“We have done this so that spectators also enjoy and players too put in their best,” Bindra said.
Low ticket prices
Bindra added that ticket prices have been kept low to attract more spectators to the ground. “Other centres have also started adopting our policy,” he added.
