A woman has been arrested allegedly for getting two contract killers to murder her son to hide her extra-marital affair, police said Thursday.
Twenty-year-old Manjeet was kidnapped from Najafgarh in Delhi, where he resided, before being killed in the Sangur district of Punjab in January this year.

The matter came to light when the contract killers, arrested Aug 31 for robbery, confessed to their other crimes, including Manjeet's murder.
"Surprisingly, while admitting their involvement in other cases, the accused said that they were also involved in a contract killing case," a senior police official said.
The 45-year-old mother, Rajesh alias Lalli, was arrested Aug 31 shortly after.
"After he came to know about the affair, Manjeet warned his mother against it," Deputy Police Commissioner Anil Kumar Ojha said.
"Aggrieved by his rude behavior and finding difficult to strike a compromise, Rajesh decided to eliminate her son and hired the killers," he said.
According tothe police officer, the women said Rs.2 lakh to the contract killers - Umesh alias Michael, 32, and Mahender alias Monu, 22 - to do the job.
