In a sensational case of double murder, police recovered the bodies of a woman and her son from a house in Pathanwadi, Bhendi Bazaar last afternoon. They were both lawyers by profession.
According to the police,u00a0 bodies of Fahmida Zalal Shaikh (60) and her adopted son, Arsh Ahmad Zafar (27), were found in a decomposed state. Officials suspect that the murder took place four days back as the duo was last spotted on Friday.

The incident came to light when neighbours telephoned the police, informing them that a foul smell was emanating from the house. Police officers from JJ Marg rushed to the spot and found their bodies on the floor with injury marks. The police have ruled out robbery as the motive.
The bodies have been sent to JJ Hospital for postmortem.
"We have registered a murder case against the unknown accused. The motive is unknown," said ACP Ravi Thakur.
Cops said the mother-son duo was scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia for Haj on October 29.u00a0 Fahmida's husband Zalal was also a lawyer and had died five years ago.
