Popular TV actor and ex 'Indian Idol' contestant Amit Tandon's wife Ruby, who is a dermatologist by profession, has reportedly been jailed in Dubai since a month.

According to reports, some DHA (Dubai Health Authority) officials have alleged that Ruby threatened a few government officials.

A source told Spotboye that Ruby has been behind bars in Al Raffa Jail for nearly a month. The report also states that her bail plea has been rejected once. The entertainment portal quoted the source as saying, "We believe that Ruby has been framed. God willing, she will be out soon."

The report further says Amit Tandon was in Dubai to try and get Ruby free, but all his efforts were in vain. Apparently, he is planning to fly down to Dubai again in hopes of bringing Ruby back to India.

While speaking to the website, Amit Tandon said, "I am very saddened by the developments that such a hardworking and caring woman who did her best to treat the rich, poor, and disabled to the best of her abilities and genuinely make a positive change has been put through this."

"Some very influential people or competitors who could not stand to see her succeed, as Dr. Ruby had begun treatments on not only Bollywood but even Hollywood celebrities, levied false accusations against her due to which the poor girl has been held in remand for almost a month. I always want to believe in the due process of law, but sadly this time Ruby is at the receiving end of it. We still hold faith that the judicial authorities will realise that she is 100 per cent innocent and let her come back to her work and most importantly to her daughter who misses her every day," Amit further added.

Amit and Ruby have been married for 10 years and they have a 7-year-old daughter Jiyana. Recently, Amit told a section of the media that Ruby and he had filed for divorce. 

Some of Ruby's clients include TV actors like Mouni Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Iqbal Khan, among others.
