MS Dhoni and the entire Jharkhand cricket team were staying in the luxury hotel ahead of the Vijay Hazare Trophy semifinal against Bengal, when the incident took place.
The cricket match which was ideally supposed to be held at Airforce ground in Palam has now been rescheduled at Feroz Shah Kotla for tomorrow.
MS Dhoni and his Jharkhan teammates were having breakfast at the hotel, when they were evacuated on via an SOS basis. Around 540 guests were staying at the hotel, according to police sources.
Both teams playing for Vijay Hzare trophy were at the ground but since the Jharkhand team were also a bit mentally disturbed, BCCI gave them a day's time to regroup and be ready for the match.
MS Dhoni also surprised all on Wednesday during the Vijay Hazare trophy quarter-final between Jharkhand and Vidarbha, when he obliged a fan by signing an autograph while batting.
