It was an awards night that recognised and awarded the heroism of those, who with their outstanding courage inspired people in their fight against disease and disability.

The ninth year of Dr Batra's Positive Health Awards 2014 was held at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai and had over 1,000 people in attendance. It was attended by cricketer M S Dhoni along with Dr. Mukesh and Rajiv Bajaj, who appreciated the courage of the heroes.
At the occasion, Dhoni said, "The awardees are really special as they have overcome obstacles by standing up for themselves and others like you and me.
It's a pleasure to be among these awardees. As a kid, I was scared of injections and hence only went to a homeopath doctor. So, I am a big fan of homeopathy and thank Dr Batra for taking homeopathy worldwide."
The event was also attended by Varsha Usgaonkar, Raell Padamsee, Rohit Roy, Shekhar Suman, Dolly Thakur, Zaheer Khan, Siddharth Kak, Samir Mondal and Rouble Nagi.
The awardees who exemplified what it takes to transform humans into heroes were Arunima Sinha, Laxmi, Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati, Navin Gulia and Nilesh Singhal.
