A brace from Vanij Choksi and a goal each from Ayaan Patel, Nizamuddin Sayed, Shoeb Miyajiwala and Rudra Dutta helped St. Mary's ICSE (Mazagaon) beat Raigad Military School (Jogeshwari) 6-0 in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) organised Ahmed Sailor Boys Under-16 Football Tournament at Azad Maidan yesterday.

In wet and windy conditions, the Mazagaon outfit was on the ball first-up, showing excellent co-ordination. They opened the account when Vanij headed home a Ayaan cross from the left in the sixth minute. Unmarked Vanij struck again two minutes later tapping in a Nizamuddin pass from inside the box.

Playing a 3-4-3 formation, the Mazagaon boys pumped in two more goals before the break through Ayaan in the 14th minute and then fed Nizamuddin for the fourth in the 22nd minute. Shoeb (38) and Rudra (40) completed the tally.

St. Mary's coach Vinod Chhatre said, "The team dedicates this win to our late coach Ismail Ansari who passed away on August 16 due to a cardiac arrest."
