Matunga lads romp to 5-1 victory over St Mary's SSC in MSSA under-16 league clash
Don Bosco 'A' (Matunga) romped to an impressive 5-1 win over St Mary's SSC (Mazgaon) in their Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) boys U-16 Division I encounter at St Xavier's Ground, Parel yesterday.

Don Bosco's Shreyas Sail opened the scoring in the 18th minute unleashing a left-footer off an assist by skipper Clivert Millar. Then in the 20th minute, Rajin Mehta pounced on a loose ball to beat St Mary's goalkeeper Sudhanshu Supekar from close range. St Mary's striker Zaid Bhujwala reduced the deficit three minutes later with the match interestingly poised 2-1 at half-time.
After the change of ends however, The Matunga exhibited their dominance. Atharva Ghatkar scored the third goal for Bosco in the 29th minute. Within the next 15 minutes, the Bosco boys scored twice again, with Fabian Anthony (37th minute and Clivert (43rd minute) completing the rout.
Despite a fine show by his forwards, Don Bosco coach Leslie Machado heaped praise on his defence instead. "Today our defence played extremely well. Our aim is to win every game of the league and ensure our place in the semi-finals," said Machado.
