Mukund hits unbeaten 132 for India 'A' in drawn series

Riding on Mukund’s unbeaten century, India ‘A’ were well placed at 246 for four when they declared. India ‘A’ had posted a mammoth 554-8 declared in the first innings while the hosts declared their first essay at 424-7.

New Zealand ‘A’ could bat for only three balls when play was called off. The two-Test series thus ended in a no result. Mukund started the final day with Anustup Majumdar (32) at the other end. Majumdar could add only 24 runs┬áto his overnight score before left-arm spinner George Worker caught him off his own bowling. Next batsman, Mumbai’s Surya Kumar Yadav (6) didn’t last long.
