Multi Tulsing

India's favorite bahu Tulsi of India who recently made a reappearance as Maniben, takes pride in her several avtars. "People still love me and call me Tulsi," beams Smriti Irani. She talks to CS about her work how she manages to make time for her family, career and politics:

Bend it like Maniben
I think I am very fortunate. Not every actress is privileged enough to stay in the lead role for so many years. I am glad that I have had that opportunity and I enjoy the confidence.

Maniben was a play that was presented four years ago. I got instant support and recognition from people; needless to say, it feels very good.

Juggling jobs
Every Indian woman can multitask, it is no big deal. Every woman manages her house, work and everything else, so I'm no exception. Nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. I have never ignored one job at the cost of another.

I don't believe in planning my life. When I started my political career, I was the vice president of Yuva Morcha of Maharashtra. Today I am the national secretary of BJP. I'm happy to be in politics and I pray to God that He gives me more capacity to manage my various roles as a woman.
