Once again the monorail is back in the news and this time too for wrong reasons. The Mumbai monorail that was heading towards Chembur from Wadala developed a technical snag and stopped after reaching near Chembur station.

The incident took place at around 9-9.30 pm on Saturday and the train filled with passengers, suddenly developed technical issues.

The monorail had reached the Chembur platform halfway when it suddenly ceased to operate. Another train arriving from Wadala had to then towed the monorail to the end of the platform. All the passengers are safe and this incident is currently under investigation,' said an MMRDA official.
