A 22-year-old model has filed a complaint with the police that two men allegedly molested and assaulted her a few days ago when she was at a friend’s party in a Juhu hotel.

In her complaint to the Juhu police, the Malad resident has stated that on the night of July 3, a friend of hers from Goregaon, also a model, invited her to a party at a hotel in Juhu. On reaching the venue, she was introduced to nine of the host’s friends present there.

A short while later, the victim said, when she was walking to the washroom, a man followed her and touched her inappropriately; she told him to stay away, but he asked her to come along with him. Ignoring him, she went to the washroom. After coming out, the same man followed her again and touched her once more, leading to a heated argument between the two.
Soon, his friend joined him and the two allegedly started beating the victim. She asked the hotel staff to intervene, but the duo refused to listen to them as well. The victim said she then called up a friend of hers, identified as Dilsher Shaikh, narrated the incident to him and asked him to reach the hotel as soon as possible.
Case filed
When mid-day reached out to the victim, she said she didn’t want to comment on the matter. Shaikh said, "After receiving her call, I rushed to the spot with a couple of my friends, but by the time we reached, the two men had run away. She had bruises on her hand and appeared to be in shock. I made a call to the police control room and reported the matter."
An officer said, "Based on the woman’s complaint, an FIR under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code has been filed against two unknown accused. The matter is being investigated."
