Mumbai: 3 kids saved from drowning at Aksa beach

Three kids, who had gone for a picnic to Aksa beach, had a close shave with death when they ventured into forbidden waters.

Fortunately, a team of lifeguards reached the spot just in time and rescued the trio, who were then handed over to their parents.

The kids identified as Manisha Manohar Khandeshwar (15), Arbaj Mohhamad Shaikh (14) and Ruskar Ashrafali Shaikh (12) are residents of Malwani and had gone to Aksa beach with their parents on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm. The lifeguards had apparently warned the kids to not venture deep into the water, as there was a high tide.

Around 20 days ago, in a similar incident, three BMS college students had lost their lives at Aksa beach.
