According to the BKC police, locals informed the main police control room about a woman’s body lying on the rocks by the Bandra-Dharavi Link road nullah.

The body was not decomposed. It has been sent to the Sion Hospital for a post-mortem.

BKC cops said, “No external injuries were found on the body and it was swollen. Hence, there is a possibility that she might have died due to drowning. But, we would come to a conclusion only after we receive the autopsy report from the Sion Hospital stating the exact cause of her death.”

From the clothes of the deceased woman, police suspect that she could be from a well-to-do family.

A source said that the woman had some tattoos inked her arms, but it could not help police in identifying her as they are beyond recognition.

Police have also started checking with other police stations if any woman of similar description was reported missing in their jurisdictions.
