A four-year-old girl was recently the target of a molestation bid by a 45-year-old man. The daughter of a film producer and owner of a big production house, the girl was playing on the swing in a park in Bandra as her mother watched over her. The incident occurred on November 25, 2017 at 5.30 pm, when the girl had gone to the garden in Bandra with her mother to play with other kids in the area. The girl’s mother is said to have been seated at a bench placed in one corner of the park and was allegedly talking to her husband’s personal assistant.

While the girl was on the swing, a 45-year-old man, assuming she was alone approached her and tried to pull her away by the hand as per reports by Hindustan Times. He also caressed her back. Seeing that a strange man had approached their friend the kids playing in the area raised an alarm. The film producer’s assistant was the first to reach the girl and soon the mod that had collected proceeded to beat the man up.
The girl’s mother then called the police and a team from Bandra was dispatched to the spot to apprehend the man. The accused, was then arrested and taken to Bhabha hospital as he had sustained few minor injuries due to the beating.
The police said that he has been discharged from the hospital and will be produced before the sessions court. He has been booked under sections 354 (criminal force outraging modesty) and 8 (sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
